The conclusion of this war was heralded by a genocide that could be watched on TV –Srebrenica in July 1995, about 25,000 people were in the UN protection zone, women were taken out of the group and raped, men were questioned and tortured. On 11 July, the protection zone fell to the Serb-Bosnian military unit Drinakorps. Mostly women and children were expelled and transported to Tuzla in buses. Over the next few days, more than 8,000 Muslim Bosnians were murdered by Serb-Bosnian soldiers and buried in mass graves.
