Once again this year, the nominated titles were presented at the stand of the German Photo Book Award at the Frankfurt Book Fair - still without an award, without a medal sticker, without labelling which title has received gold, silver or bronze. The award ceremony and medal presentation will take place on Saturday, 23 November 2024. Following the award ceremony and medal presentation in Regensburg, the award-winning titles will go on a year-long exhibition tour through Germany, Europe and Asia. In Silent Witness, photographs of private homes and public buildings in which war crimes were committed during the Bosnian War (1992-1995) - in particular rape against women of all ethnic groups living in Bosnia and Herzegovina - are combined with testimonies from the surviving women.
